08000224332 home summer is here!!! click here for our summer advice. welcome to we are a central peterborough general practice looking after over 24,000 patients. we are a teaching practice and help teach medical students from imperial college and cambridge university as well as training doctors preparing to be hospital specialists and general practitioners. the purpose of this site is to provide information to our current patients, future patients and people seeking information about our services. if you are looking for information on how to register with our practice to allow us to care for you please look at this section . we host other services that deliver endoscopy, colonoscopy , ultrasound scanning and aortic aneurysm clinics. if you are looking for information regarding these services please click on the relevant section. we offer advanced access to any of our 24,000 patients who wish to see a doctor between 8:30am and 10:30am. this means that patients can walk in to the surgery at this time and will be seen in the surgery by a clinician without an appointment, monday to friday. morning surgery – choice of clinician we are striving to provide our patients a choice of clinician during our open access morning surgery on tuesdays, wednesdays and thursdays. whilst the majority of times during the open access morning surgery clinics this will be achievable we ask that our patients are understanding if we are unable to offer this option on some days when it should be available due to unforeseen circumstances or if certain clinicians have a high volume of patients requesting to see them. y ou will be advised on arrival if this option is unavailable. we thank you for your understanding. our services are currently extremely in demand and we are seeing over 300 patients in our morning surg eries. we continue to aim to allow any patient who wishes to be seen to have an appointment with a clinician, but hope you can understand that waiting times will increase and your choice of clinician could be limited. if you are pregnant and would like to self-refer to the midwife service please follow this link: https://www.nwangliaft.nhs.uk/maternity/im-pregnant/peterborough-city-hospital-maternity/self-referral-form/ we offer a full general practice service including health promotion clinics for long-term conditions: diabetes, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (copd), heart disease and high blood pressure. we also offer minor surgical procedures on site to remove skin lesions and insert and remove contraceptive devices. please see this section for more details. we unfortunately no longer offer travel immunisation appointments. we are providing extra evening and weekend appointments over the winter period through nhs england's commissioning of extra appointments. these appointments will be pre-booked only and will be focussed on chronic disease appointments. afternoon appointments are available from 4pm -
